The character you wish to join on:
Oakenwise - Night Elf Druid, 61
Character's public RP profile
Telanmar stands as a pillar of green, lithe and wavy. His emerald hair and long wispy beard dance in the wind. Atop his head sits a crown of antlers, the tines curved and sharp. His yellow-brown robe is decorated with fine embroidery of leaves, the designs matching complimenting his hair perfectly. His protruding chest is covered in a dense mat of coarse hairs, feral-like. Brown leather gloves with straps of green adorn his hands, the leather squeaking as he flexes his fingers. His shoes, simple leather coverings, reflect his penchant for basic attire and a rugged aesthetic. Most noticeably, he grasps a long stave in his right hand. Covered in foliage the stave seems alive, pulsing with life, flowers blooming along its length in endless cycles.
RP experience
I've role-played essentially all my life in various games and me and my often create roleplaying systems and text adventures. I've tried a few MUDS, such as the Two Towers, as well. In regards to WoW, although I've played since late Vanilla (Nov 2006) I didn't join Argent Dawn until maybe a year and a half ago, but have been in some military guilds, an explorer's guild based on DnD rolls, and have created my own guild about research and exploration.
Why you want to join the Guardians?
I want to join primarily because I seek a mature, well-known and respected (OOCly) guild and I think TCG provides that. I'm chiefly interested in immersion and have a lot of passion for WoW's zone art and music and have essentially grown up with them (starting WoW at 12 years old and being 22 now). I think joining this guild will be a good way of sharing this passion with like-minded folk. Just as a side, I'm currently studying ecology/conservation so it would seem I want real life to bleed into the virtual world!
Why does your character want to be a Guardian?
Telanmar is somewhat of a misanthrope and has a strong dislike of man's destructive influence on nature. He will rarely set foot in Stormwind or have dealings with any members of the Alliance and their-in his view-obnoxious warmongering civilizations. He believes that the balance of nature comes before all else and that the "little races" are short sighted and foolish.
When do you usually play?
I most often play in the evenings and will come on, if I'm not busy, at around 18:00-19:00 game time on weekdays and can spend a lot of time on the weekend.
What makes RP fun for you?
Exploring the world, a sense of true immersion and experiencing character development with a group of like-minded people. I take RP seriously in a positive way and I don't suffer people who would ruin my and other people's enjoyment.
What makes RP NOT fun for you?
Playing with people who do not take the time to craft their sentences and people with no regard for the lore. Overly complex mechanics which detract from the creativeness of the roleplay.
Answer as your character - write a brief piece, like you would an emote, of your character doing something common to them. A daily routine, a little personal ritual, something of that sort.
Telanmar shifts his robe to one side before standing up and taking in a breath of fresh air, leaning on his staff. Having replenished his strength, he begins the last leg of the journey to the grove, its splendour filling his his heart with such warmth known only to him. Looking around the place, his ears twitching, his eyes tell of a deep longing and familiarity for the grove. Entering the interior he paces slowly toward a grand old tree, its crown full of lush broad leaves. Placing his hand on the bark, a smile grows across his face, wrinkles fading. He stands rejuvenated, whole once more. He has returned home.
Answer as your character - Why do you want to join the Guardians? ('To defend the Balance,' is a given, why did they chose to do it with the Guardians rather than anybody else?)
"I have no dire quarrel with the many sects of our people, but I fear they are slipping. The Sentinels, the Sisters and the Circle itself have noble intentions, but their truce with the Alliance and those who wield the Arcane and other queer tools of destruction are not welcome in my eyes. We must take to our woods and rejoice in our old ways. We must unite as Kaldorei once more and forsake our bonds of fellowship with those who would do more harm than good
