* The character you wish to join on: name, race, class, level, is it a main or alt character
Taraniel, Night Elf Warrior (100). It's an alt.
* Your character's public RP profile
Taraniel was born some time in the aftermath of the sundering, as the daughter to a pair of hunters and was raised to be one herself, learning to use a bow, arrow and spear early on. She lived a life of wandering and hunting until the Druids went into hibernation. When Tyrande formed the Sentinels, she pictured a life of defending her lands. Motivated by stories of what the Highborne did, and the War of the Ancients, she showed no hesitation in joining this army and adapting to a more militaristic lifestyle, as well as learning to use weapons, eventually favoring melee combat over using a bow and arrow.
Her first call to war was the war of the Shifting Sands, where she took place on the frontlines, serving the sentinel army unquestioningly. Staghelm's leadership during the war had her grow very respectful toward him, and very loyal as she started to see him as an ideal leader of the Kaldorei. Following the victory, and after what wounds she had taken in the battle was mended she returned to Ashenvale to guard her home.
Come the third war, when outsiders came to Ashenvale she was among the first to take up her spear and fight the Orcs. After the death of Cenarious, she joined the armies to Hyjal, reluctantly fighting beside the humans and orc, whom she has dubbed "lesser races". Since the battle, she has stood guard in Darnassus, not having joined the campaigns such as Outland and Northrend, very much because of her distrust toward her races new allies.
* Your RP experience (none, old tabletop/larp player, veteran of another guild - a few words is enough)
I started off on Steamwheedle Cartel in 2010, and was in the guild "Argent Battalion" during its whole run. Later on, I joined the Way of Malorne on my Night Elf hunter Nathaldir until the guild went inactive. After that I was briefly in Beastmaw Warband until the server went void of any RP and migrated to Defias Brotherhood in 2012, where I've been in Orcs of the Red Blade.
* Why you want to join the Guardians?
In my time in way of Malorne, I have had some encounters with Cenarion Guardians, which I enjoyed, even if it was mostly just socializing with our characters. After some three years as an Orc, I decided I want to try and give Night Elves another shot and thought a guild that I am somewhat familiar with could be a place to go, even if I'm (very likely) quite rusty with Night Elves right now.
* When do you usually play?
Afternoons and evening. And weekends, if I haven't laid other plans.
* What makes RP fun for you?
Good storylines, interesting plots and characters, and discovering places and lorepoints and the occational RP-PvP.
* What makes RP NOT fun for you?
Mainly people who gives zero regard to lore, like Tyrande's long lost sister of Illidan's secret son.
* Answer as your character - write a brief piece, like you would an emote, of your character doing something common to them. A daily routine, a little personal ritual, something of that sort.
Taraniel rises her spear as she gives her sparring partner a challenging look, daring her to make the first strike. As soon as her partner raises her glave, Taraniel dashes forward, striking her opponent to the stomach with the pommel of her spear, followed by quickly moving to her side and hit the partner's back with the shaft of the spear, knocking her to the ground.
As she pushes herself up, Taraniel backs away, giving the partner some room before lunging forward again, now knocking her partner off her feet with the shaft of her spear. Taraniel displays the most smug smirk an elf can make before helping her sister in arms back on her feet and gives her some time before returning to training.
* Answer as your character - Why do you want to join the Guardians? ('To defend the Balance,' is a given, why did they chose to do it with the Guardians rather than anybody else?)
The other races and the Highborne walk in our midst as though they are our equals, all the while their machines and magics burn and destroy what they come across. They all practice arcane, as if they have learned nothing from the Highborne ten thousand years ago. Our leadership has grown soft, to see these lessers as our allies. The human king prades around, thinking of us just as assets to his war. I wish to fight alongside those that still wants to see us prosper, fight to drive the impurities away from our lands. Unlike so many others, I have no intent of being pushed around by some child "king", to bow and scrape whenever he pleases. While change is inevitable, our roots - Our traditions must be kept intact. I do not wish to see us completely lost to their alliance. I fight for the Kaldorei - None others.
