Name
Ysen the Bloodfang
(Formally Ysen Greenacre)
Race and Class
Kaldorei.
Druid- Savagekin
Observable Traits
Ysen is almost always in his bear form never showing his elf form only to those he trusts or if there is a great need for it. As a bear he looks like most other Druids of the Claw expect the features that distinguish a druid bear from a true bear are harder to spot. His fur is black and he has a white mane.
His elven form is just as wild looking as his bear form. His hair dark and untamed, often littered with debris. He wears little clothing as he rarely has need for it, just enough to keep some dignity.
He speaks fluent Darnassian and can commune clearly to those who understand the growls and body language of a bear. He cannot speak common and perhaps chooses not to learn it.
Family
Ysen's family name was Greenacre, he has spoke little of them as he has no idea what fate has befell them. He now considers his pack of bears, the Bloodfang Pack, as his family.
Background
Ysen Greenacre was once a wise and powerful druid who was a proud defender of the wilds. Little is known about his past but it is clear that when the Orcs invaded Ashenvale during the Third War and killed Cenarius, Ysen flew into a feral rage. He changed into a bear and drew upon the natural power within him for one purpose, to slay the greenskins. Soon he forgot why he must destroy the orcs and eventually forgot himself becoming nothing more than a force of rage.
When the Guardians found Ysen and helped him change back he began a slow process of finding himself again. He started from scratch, learning to control the power inside him, the fear still in the back of his mind of what he could turn into and the urge to leave his skin and return to the wilds. Eventually he learnt to master his abilities again but the events had changed Ysen, he had remembered enough of who he was to know that it was no longer that old elf. He saw what the world had become, the dangers that threatened these lands and how the Kaldorei race had grown into an ignorant and selfish people. He made a choice to return to the woods as a defender, a soldier for the Wilds.
He soon developed the ability to coordinate and commune with the creatures of the forest to a degree he never had before. He had a particular connection with the bears, he therefore made the choice to keep the bear as his new true form. Eventually he was able to form the normally loner animals into a strong pack that were able to defend the forest from the orcish advance. To this day he and his fellow Bloodfangs live and fight for their home and survival.
Personal Notes
Ysen is a Savagekin meaning that he is more animal than elf and that he feels more comfortable among other animals.
Ysen believes in strong leadership and firm discipline, being a bear this is normally physical. He has little patience for disrespect and insolence. Those who anger him are usually quickly informed.
He has little trust for anyone except a select few from the Cenarion Guardians from which he is still unsure of as a whole. He works with the Guardians because he sees them as a benefit to help protect his pack. Having little contact with any other race (other than the Orcs) he would also give them all a wide bearth as he is still doesn't what to make of them.
Ysen as a profound hatred for magic, a mage would be best advised not to reveal his status near him.
Although Ysen was once a powerful druid, all the "spells" he once knew havn't been used in a long time. It is possible that he can use them to the same effect but it will require time, however as Ysen is rarely in a form in which he can use them this process will take even longer.
Ysen's age is unknown (mainly because I havn't decided on one) but he was alive during The Sundering making him at least 10000 years old.
When in the Dream Ysen is viewed with two forms, one of his elven self and one of a darker creature. Depending on Ysen's control of his sanity one will be appear larger than the other. Both are in an eternal struggle for dominance just as Ysen is continually battling to keep himself from turning feral.
