The character you wish to join on:
Durmot Ravenstorm, level 70 Kaldorei Druid (still levelling)
Characters public RP profile:
(This is a shortened down bio for my character as the full thing would be too long)
Durmot 400 year old Kaldorei was born in Moonglade, Nightraven. Like many males within Nightelf society, he showed promising potential in becoming a druid and joined the Cenarion Circle. For 100 years he patiently trained, guided by his mentors to use the power given by Elune to restore balance to nature, focusing his powers on healing upon the forests which covered much of Kalimdor. Later on he joined ‘The Druid of the Talon’ he spent many years in meditation gaining the ability to shape shift into a hawk and upon learning the ability he became an official member. Within the order he was tasked with scouting the forests of Kalimdor, reporting any signs of corruption within the forests. Like many druids, he spent several hundred years in the Emerald Dream and was awakened before the battle of Mount Hyjal, although the Druid of the Talon only played a minor role in the conflict, like all Kaldorei, he was deeply affected with the destruction of the world tree and the loss of his immortality and healing abilities. After learning about the Warsong’s presence in Ashenvale and the death of Cenarius he felt a great hatred towards the Orcs and helped spy on their activities.
In recent years he's been wondering through the forests alone, acting upon his own intuitive to restore balance in anyway he seems fit but he he's hoping join an order of druids so he can serve a greater purpose and help prevent future catastrophes.
Durmot is stubborn and traditional disliking any forms of technology and has a grudge against the Humans of Stormwind for their mass expansion of territory believing this is a threat to the balance of nature.
RP Experience
Little bit of random RP around Stormwind with other characters and joined a guard guild for a few weeks before it was disbanded but I'm basically a beginner.
Why do you want to join the Guardians
Out of all the druid RP guilds I've been recommended on the Argent Dawn forums, this looks the most interesting and promising. The way you describe yourselves as being 'Nomadic' and 'mostly being found in the wilds' makes the guild seem really deep and interesting.
When do you usually play?
Weekday late afternoon/ evenings, Weekends.
What makes RP fun for you?
Like I previously said, I new to RP but what what I've enjoyed with the RP I have done is the unpredictable situations which can occur when interacting with other players, with the guard guild I was in, we stormed the 'Slaughtered lamb' and inside were thief or warlock guilds and in the cellar we would find something like a dead body and then the guilds who were occupying the place would either be arrested or be forced to explain why there was a body. small things like that.
What makes RP not fun for you?
People who aren't lore friendly and unrealistic like characters who are somehow related to the king of Stormwind or players who are somehow really over powered like a knight with bulky armour who can somehow avoid attacks or a mage who can fire lots of fireballs and summon a portal without being tired.
Answer as your character - write a brief piece, like you would an emote, of your character doing something common to them. A daily routine, a little personal ritual, something of that sort.
Durmot knelt on a branch situated in the lush canopy of the tree, his eyes closed as he breathed in the cold morning air through his nose. In the distance the sun was rising over the horizon, the blood red sky beginning to disappear leaving a crystallised blue sky in it's place. Holding onto the tree trunk he lifted himself up and opened his fiery amber eyes, as he looked on through the sea of trees, small sounds of battle could be heard in the distance as steel clashed against steel, sending ripples through the forest.
Answer as your character - Why do you want to join the Guardians? ('To defend the Balance,' is a given, why did they chose to do it with the Guardians rather than anybody else?)
'For 400 years I have watched the forests grow and thrive but as the time passed I also witnessed the tide of the Balance shift as Orcs continue attack our sacred forests and the introduction of machinery tries to replace our traditions, I was there when the world tree had fallen and like many of my kin, I will protect the forests until I draw my final breath. It's not just the Orcs who who are a threat, the humans of the Alliance continue to ask aid for matters which is none of our business, warriors which should be used to defend our land which still aren't safe'
