Name: Celegil Moonwatcher
Race and Class: Night Elf Huntress
Physical description: Celegil has long dark blue hair, a quite dark tone of purple skin and a red tattoo that is common to her kin around the eyes. On the left side (right side if you look at her) of her face, you can see a large scar which was caused by a fight she had with Torakk, the Leader of The Earthfury Clan at the time. Going down to her shoulder, Celegil has a scar at her right armpit. This is due to the fact she was once hit with a poisoned arrow while being in captivity with the Earthfury Clan. Apart from that, Celegil mostly looks like any other Night Elf woman, although slightly more muscular. One last odd feature is the fact her left ear is an inch shorter then the other. This is because of the fact she once got into a fight with a Troll. During the fight, the Troll bit on her ear and ate that little piece of Celegil's ear. The wound never really healed completely, leaving a raw skin on the tip of her left ear.
Background: Celegil's mother, Ilaana didn't really know where she came from. All she knows is that her mother was unable to care for her and that she was raised by the Priestesses of Elune. When she reached maturity, she became, as many other Night Elven women, a Priestess of Elune. She continued to be a Priestess until she met the man of her dreams Thalyn, a Druid, and decided to retire in Astranaar.
About a thousand years ago however, Ilaana and Thalyn were called back to service again due to the fact the War of the Shifting Sands had begun. The couple moved to Southern Kalimdor into the province of Silithius where they served in their respective roles, Thalyn as a Druid mending nature and Ilaana as a Priestess, tending the wounded. After the war was over, Thalyn and Ilaana felt they had a duty to peform to their brethren and decided to stay with a small community to safeguard the old ruins of Ahn'Qiraij. It was in this harsh land that Ilaana eventually got pregnant. Sadly, Thalyn did not witness the birth of his child since he perished in an attack on the village in which he and Ilaana lived. Ilaana, broken by grief and despite all the hardships, eventually gave birth to a healthy daughter which she named Celegil.
Celegil had no ordinary childhood. Because she was born in a community that was basically the front-line between the Qiraij and the Night Elves, she was forced by her mother to learn to defend herself at a tender age. Celegil had no other friends to play with since she was the only child in the village at that time. When Celegil reached the age of twenty she was thrilled to hear another woman in the village had become pregnant and this child would of course be a good friend for her. On the day of birth of the baby, the entire community celebrated since the birth of a child is a rare thing in Night Elf society. While the village was celebrating however, the Qiraij awakened once more and attacked the village while most of the people were asleep, resting from the celebration. Because of the many Qiraij, the very buildings collapsed and as Celegil fled, she ran past the half-collapsed house of the mother of the baby. She was trapped under the debris and was unable to get away and therefore she begged Celegil to safe her baby and bring it to a safe place. And this is exactly what she did. After Celegil and most of the community had fled into safety, she discovered that her mother was missing and was presumed death since the Qiraij were building a new lair at the location where the village once stood. Since she felt she had to bring the baby to a safe community, Celegil travelled north to the peaceful homeland of Ashenvale with the help of Elandrial, a Cartographer. Celegil and Elandrial befriended eachother during this long trip through Kalimdor and it was during this time that Celegil learned to make maps. A skill that would come in handy almost a century later.
Celegil, Elandrial and the baby eventually reached Astranaar. Celegil decided to stay in the village and live a peaceful life, far away from danger. She served the village community by telling tales her mother had told her about the war and teaching geography. As the baby Celegil had saved grew older, she gave her the name Elandrial, in honour of the Cartographer that had brought her to Astranaar safely. As the decades past, Celegil and the baby Elandrial, who by now had grown into a young girl, became like mother and daughter. These were arguably the most happy years in Celegil's life. Till she met Kalion...
Kalion was a man which Celegil had met while spending time near Mystral lake. She stumbled upon him when she found his heavily wounded body which had been attacked by bears. Celegil was horrified by Kalion's wounds, but she quickly took care of Kalion. Thalindra, Celegil's small Nightsaber cub which had been gifted to her by Elandrial the Cartographer, quickly ran back to Astranaar to signal for help. Together with a few fellow Sisters, they carried the wounded Kalion to safety. After the examination, Celegil discovered Kalion had broken both his legs and had to stay in the makeshift hospital for a few weeks. It was during this time that Celegil and Kalion became very close to each other. First, they walked with each other, then a kiss and soon an intense relation between the two youngsters.Celegil fell like a stone for Kalion. As some years passed, Kalion and Celegil got a happy relationship. One day however, Kalion told Celegil he had a duty to perform as a Druid and that he had to leave her behind. Celegil was horrified by this and bursted into tears for days on end. She feld she had been betrayed by Kalion and that he had only used her for his own personal welfare.
The experience clearly left its mark on Celegil and she decided to leave Astranaar behind. She just wanted to get away from society. Celegil joined the Sentinel Army and applied for a scouting position which she eventually got. And so it was that Celegil spend many years in solitude alongside her nightsaber Thalindra. After many decades, Celegil had travelled the entire continent of Kalimdor. One day when she was travelling around Ashenvale, she noticed that many Sentinels were on the move. Celegil had been totally oblivious of the impending war with the Burning Legion and the coming of foreign races. Because the Sentinels were in need of anyone they could get their hands on, Celegil happily signed up as a proper Sentinel and experienced the Battle of Mount Hyjal like many of her fellow sisters. Though Celegil was stationed far behind the front lines, she saw her fair share of combat-action and it was during that time that she earned her stripes as a Sentinel. After the war, Celegil returned to Astranaar and decided to make it her home again. Celegil decided to stay in the Sentinel Army and become one of the many guards that made up the Astranaar Sentinel Regiment.
Celegil met second mate Malreas Thundermane when she was observing animals on Silvermyst Isle. Malreas asked Celegil if she would like to fish. Celegil accepted, thus sparking a rough romantic relationship. Sadly, their relation was put to the test as Malreas had some unfinished business with his inner demon. Because of this, Celegil and Malreas were forced to refrain from seeing each other for months. Luckily for the young couple, Malreas succeeded in banishing his demon and so they could spend more time together. They spend many days in Moonglade to heal their emotional wounds, spending time walking in the forest, playing games, reading books together, and of course, making love. It didn't took long till Celegil noticed her stomach began to grow. Fearing for an illness, Celegil quickly sought the aid of her Mentor Cyndryn to investigate her. Luckily for Celegil, there was no Illness, far from it. It was actually a blessing. Celegil became pregnant. She rested many months in the village of Nighthaven, preparing for her delivery. When the moment finally came, not all wend well. The baby was so big, it caused major internal bleedings in Celegil's body. Only with the speedy intervention of Ithra the Druid and Cyndryn could she be saved. After spending another few weeks resting with her new born son which she had called Kailahan, Celegil was healthy again.
After Celegil, Malreas and Kailahan spend some time together, Celegil returned to active Sentinel duty. Her personal goal is to rid Ashenvale of the Orcs once and for all. A few months ago, she called in the help of her friend Caliyen who heads the Free Company, a band of mercenaries. Following a series of successful attacks, Celegil was captured by The Earthfury Clan when she was shot in her leg and was unable to escape with Caliyen. She stayed behind to buy time for the mercenaries who were able to escape because of this. After initial questioning, she was taken to The Earthfury Village to serve as amusement for the Grunts. She was forced to fight for her life for several weeks but eventually found a way to escape. Sadly, as if her time in captivity wasn't enough, her mate Malreas decided to follow his inner demon and leave Celegil. They parted not long ago. Celegil is still missing him dearly but she knows (just as in the time she was alone with Elandrial, her daughter) that she has to carry on with her life. Strengthened by the fact Shandaris has agreed to be Kailahan's new Shan'Do with the help of Kiva, Celegil carried on to defend Ashenvale and Darkshore of any threats. A bright spot in that troublesome time for Celegil was the fact she was been granted the honour by General Shandris Feathermoon herself to form a new Sentinel unit named The Frayfeathers.
Shortly after Celegil had formed the Frayfeathers, Celegil set off to discover more of her father's past (those events are described in the story The end..or not.). Celegil met her mother Ilaana completely by accident for the first time since years and found out that she was trading her father's amulet to a Naga lord in return for her Thalyn's (Celegil's father) return. One can not bring back the dead and Ilaana was indeed hoodwinked by the Naga. Luckily, Celegil managed to kill the Naga and bring sense back to her mother's mind. They quickly fled the ruins in which the ceremony took place together with a Human girl named Katherine which Celegil had found on the way. Sadly, as they fled, Celegil slipped near the tall coastal cliffs and fell into the wild sea at the bottom of the cliffs. Celegil luckily survived this ordeal and returned home to Astranaar where she was reunited with her mother. They have restored their mother-daugther relation and have become good friends once more.
Personal notes: Celegil is young but acts mostly mature. Note the 'mostly' since she has an absolute hatred against powercrazy elders who want to control her life. While serving the Cenarion Guardians, she wears the old leathery suit she also used during the time she was exploring Kalimdor.
