Fandral's madness and corruption have been revealed, and The Guardians, an organisation set up on Fandral's behest, fell out of favour with the Circle. The Guardians lost their official support and while still together, nothing was passed their way- nobody wanted to associate with them.
A group of Guardians left the order, unhindered by their oaths, to seek a new path for themselves.
A few months pass with little happening.
The Guardians convene at Feathermoon Stronghold, called in by Chimeri-- A Priestess of the order. Sentinels had died in more than suspicious circumstances, and a young Kaldorei mage was being accused. The Guardians spent a period of time in and around the jungles of Feralas, and more specifically, Eldre'thalas.
Dannelor is tasked, by the Circle, with nursing a sick entling back to health; the Guardians travel to Darkshore in hopes of returning it to strength.
The Cenarion Circle have reconsidered, and offer support back to the Guardians. Sarama steps down from her post as High Guardian, the only one ever to have done so, and Mehtomiel takes up the mantle.

--------
A hell of a lot has changed since Mehtomiel passed on her title to Dannelor Thornroot, the first druid to take up the job of High Guardian. The Guardians now reside primarily in Moonglade, hangers-on of the Circle trying to retain their independence, running forays in and out of Nighthaven to do their work.
At time of writing, the Guardians are in Outland fighting a force of Twilight's Hammer Cultists hellbent on somehow resurrecting Deathwing.
